My Photography and YouTube

I decided in July to create a YouTube account to post tutorials, reviews, tips, tricks, and mini-series on photography. My account is under PhotoTeen. Over the past few months, I have made many good friends from YouTube. Davis Ryan, Brady O' Brien, Matthew Westfall, and Cory Henry to name a few. Check it out, it has reviews of my gear, and some of my friends Nikon gear. Eventually my Channel will display many videos to help beginning photographers soar to the pro level in no time at all. My most popular video is my Canon 430ex Flash Review with over 3,500 views.

Photography, a truly amazing thing.

I don't think people truely realize the ultimate power of a shutter actuation. When you take a picture, you are capturing a moment in time that can never be seen again. But photographing something, capturing it in the time that it took place, is truely an amazing thing for us to be able to do. Why more people don't venture off into the world of photography, I don't know. But one thing is for sure, I will never put my camera down. I have for the past two years been capturing moments in time that are joyful, sad, beautiful, breathe-taking, action filled, and truely amazing. Granted, most peoplle probably don't "get into" photography because it is a rather expensive hobby. Believe me, I have had to sacrifice other things for years now to have the equipment I do. But to be a good photographer, you only need a couple hundred dollars to pick up a some-what decent point and shoot digital camera. So please, whoever you are reading this blog, make an effort to purchase a camera, and begin capturing these moments in time taht can never again be re-enacted. If you need any help at all, check out my profile and send me an E-Mail.

My Photography

Photography has become a true passion of mine over the past course of two years. It is such an amazing thing, capturing memories that can never be seen again in real time. I have decided to make photography forever a part of my life. I have pursued the subject professionally and love it. I am a Canon 35mm film and digital user. I have spread my interest in photography to many of my friends and family members over for some time now. Me and three of my very good friends, the kind you can trust to accomplish things, started our own photography business. Holmes and Allen Photography was founded on September 1, 2008.
